Alkalinity, pH Balance & Herpes
The human body is very much like a swimming pool. A swimming pool has to be maintained with the proper chemical balance in order to remain CLEAN. If the steward of the pool fails to provide the necessary items to keep the pool clean, then initially it becomes cloudy. As the process continues it will become even cloudier, until it really becomes dark. In just a short while, with no proper treatment, it becomes very dark and begins to harbor bugs and all kinds of critters. These bugs can only live in a filthy environment. They have to have a dirty pool to live in because that is the environment that nature has provided them to live in. Disease is very much the same way. It has to have the right environment to live in. Lip sores, cold sores, throat sores, and cold sore blisters that are herpes related need the right kind of home to live in. This is how they thrive.
The pools clarity is maintained by what is called a pH balance, which is a measure of the acidity or alkalinity of a solution. Too much acidity and you get the dark swamp water. Too much alkalinity and you get your skin bleached or burned when you jump in the pool. So it must have a rightly balanced chemistry. The human body is a fascinating machine that is mostly water. Unfortunately for many people, that water happens to be very dirty, creating an environment for disease to flourish. To deal with bugs that are in the pool, the first step is to clean the pool. Everything that you ingest contributes to your body and the cellular environment.
It is important that you learn what foods cause the pH of the body to be more alkaline forming and NOT acid forming. Stress, anxiety, and negative emotions have also been shown to be acid forming. It is interesting to note, that this is exactly what the virus causes, which perpetuates the cycle of acidity. As a general rule, foods that are alive (i.e. unprocessed fresh fruits and vegetables) contribute to an alkaline body environment. Foods that are cooked and processed or otherwise “dead foods” contribute to an acidic environment. When I say “dead foods” I simply mean foods that are much less nutrient dense then raw vegetation because they have been altered from their original estate by being processed, frozen, or cooked.
I want to clarify that “dead foods” are not completely void of nutrition, but they are LESS nutrient dense AND more importantly, they are completely acid forming. I would also like to point out that a foods acid or alkaline forming tendency does not depend on the pH of the food itself. It is rather the end products they produce after digestion and assimilation that classify them as acid or alkaline forming. A lemon has a pH of 1.5 and is very acidic. However, it is extremely alkaline forming in the body. Most acidic elements will not have an alkaline forming reaction in the body. For example: Battery acid is very acidic and it will probably kill you if ingested. The key is to balance what you eat so that you are ingesting about 80% alkaline forming foods.
Those who struggle with managing or eliminating herpes outbreaks do so because their pH is to acidic. Some of the most effective remedies for inhibiting viral replication like, supplemental vitamins, Red Marine Algae, Echinacea, and Lysine are rendered useless because of an acidic internal environment. DMSO is also a popular item that also can be rendered useless because of pH imbalance. To effectively deal with disease, it is essential to deal with the internal environment. This alone has extremely powerful health benefits in addition to eliminating viral outbreaks. Remember: disease has to have the right environment to live in. This is a natural law. Disease cannot replicate and flourish in a clean environment. I strongly recommend a copy of Dr. Theodore A. Baroody’s book: Alkalize or Die. It is extremely detailed and an invaluable guide for people who need to adjust the pH of their body. I would make the investment and purchase this outstanding resource. The internet of course provides a wealth of information on alkalinity and pH balance as well.
